"Little Shorty's Shootout"

Adapted from a stage by Sundown Jones - SASS 5403

Scenario
You're headed out to practice with your scattergun when Little Shorty and his boys ride up. They've been threatenin' to run you off and burn down your cabin, so you figure they ain't come by for tea. Scoopin' up your bucket of shells, you commence to convincin' em of the error of their ways.

Ammo
10 pistol, 10 Rifle, 6+ shotgun

Starting Position
Standing behind right hay bale, hands on hips. Bucket containing at least six shotshells on bale.

Rifle safely staged on right hay bale, ten rounds in magazine.

Shotgun safely staged on left hay bale.

Procedure
When ready, say "Shorty, I'm done puttin up with your horse puckey!"

At the buzzer, engage pistol targets with ten rounds in a Lawrence Welk Sweep (P1-P2-P2-P3-P3-P3-P4-P4-P4-P4).

Pick up the bucket and move to the left hay bale. Set the bucket down on the bale and, loading from the bucket, engage shotgun targets once each.

Move to the right hay bale and engage the four rifle targets in a Lawrence Welk Sweep (R1-R2-R2-R3-R3-R3-R4-R4-R4-R4).

Move back to the left hay bale, and, again loading from the bucket, engage shotgun targets twice each, alternating targets between shots.

Note: If you drop a shotgun round, it's dead unless it falls back into the bucket. All shotshells must be loaded from the bucket.
