"Christmas Dinner"

A Christmas Story - Stage 5

by Wild Bill Blackerby

Scenario
At long last it's Christmas morning. Ralphie rushes into the living room to open presents. After opening all with no luck, the Old Man points to a box behind a chair. The box contains his beloved Official Red Ryder Rifle! Oh joy!!

Sadly the pack of dogs belonging to the Bumpuses have gotten in and devoured the Christmas turkey. No Turkey! No Turkey Salad! No Turkey Hash! Gone! The Old Man takes the family into town to the Chinese Restaurant - the only place in town - for dinner.

As the waiters sing carols a Peking Duck is brought out on a platter. The wife and kids giggle as the Old Man asks the waiter to remove the still attached head of the duck. With a loud whack with his cleaver the duck loses its head and so does the Old Man.
