"Horse Hare"
(1960)
Yosemite Sam Match - Stage 6

by Wild Bill Blackerby & Piney Woods

Scenario
This is one of the rare censored cartoons - not broadcasted or available on DVD - due to it's depiction of the Indians. Because of this the story line is very sketchy…

In 1886 while the troops of Fort Lariat are sent out on a special mission, cavalry soldier Bugs Bunny is left alone and ordered to guard the fort. Seeing that the fort is lightly defended, Yosemite Sam leads his outlaw Indians in an attack on the fort. But he has once again underestimated Trooper Bugs! Inside the fort Bugs shoots his rifle at the Indians and keeps tally of the ones he's killed by singing "Ten Little Indians" and marking each one on a white board.

No doubt Bugs wins in the end…

Ammo
10 pistol, 9 rifle

Starting Position
Standing behind rock, two safely holstered pistols loaded with five rounds each, holding bow and arrow in both hands.

Rifle, loaded with nine rounds, safely staged on rock.

Procedure
When ready, say "Ya long-eared, fur bearin', flatfooted varmint!"

At the buzzer, drop bow and arrow and engage the rifle targets in a Nevada Sweep, starting from either end.

Make rifle safe and engage each pistol target once.
